  1. This archive contains the executable to run Persistance of Vision under NT.
  2. This is *NOT* a MS-DOS 16-bit application but a native 32-bit WinNT console
  3. version (tho it doesn't take advantage of threading, etc..)

  5. Because direct video i/o is NOT allowed under NT, the display option "+d"
  6. has been disable and automatically sets to "-d". I suggest you use the
  7. "+v1" command when rendering.

  9. Included in this little archive is the WinNT version of UNARJ by Robert Jung.
  10. This program will unarchive all ARJ versions upto 2.41. I included because
  11. for some reason I spent all day converting that and POV to native NT console
  12. apps (tell me... was I wasting my time?).

  14. I noticed a 12% speed increase in renderings from MSDOS POV to WINNT POV.
  15. I myself have compiled POV with the -G4 option (optimize for 486's) and
  16. with that I find about a 7.5% speed increase over the 386 NT version. If
  17. you are interested in POV486/NT, give me a yell!!
